Yakama Nation Tribal School (YNTS) students recently had the opportunity to explore future career possibilities during a visit to the Yakima County Apprenticeship & Trades Fair at Yakima Valley College.
The event gave students a firsthand look at a variety of career pathways, including opportunities in skilled trades and apprenticeship programs. Throughout the day, students connected with local employers, learned about hands-on training opportunities, and discovered the skills and education needed to pursue different careers.
The experience provided students with valuable insight into career options they may not have previously considered, while helping them make connections between their interests, education, and future goals.
Events like the Apprenticeship & Trades Fair play an important role in preparing students for life beyond high school by introducing them to opportunities for continued learning, career development, and professional growth.
Yakama Nation Tribal School is proud of its students for taking an active role in exploring their futures, asking questions, and discovering the many possibilities available to them. It was a great day of learning, exploration, and inspiration!
