Students from Yakama Nation Tribal School recently visited Fort Simcoe Job Corps Center to learn more about career pathways and the hands-on training opportunities available to students after high school.
During the visit, students toured the campus, explored different training programs, and had the opportunity to ask questions about career options, certifications, and workforce preparation. The experience gave students valuable insight into a variety of professions and helped them better understand the education, skills, and training needed to pursue future career goals.
The trip also encouraged students to begin thinking more intentionally about life after graduation and the many pathways available to them. Through conversations with staff and firsthand exposure to training environments, students were able to see how programs like Job Corps can help prepare young adults for meaningful careers and future success.
School staff shared that experiences like this are an important part of helping students explore possibilities for their futures while building confidence and awareness about postsecondary opportunities.
Yakama Nation Tribal School is proud of its students for taking an active role in planning for their futures and exploring the many opportunities available to them beyond the classroom.
